The group Síncopa de Cuba war founded on May 1st, 1994, and its objective was to play Cuban Son as well as the different types of Cuban music. Its participants, young musicians that studied music in their native provinces, extend the repertory fundamentally with works of their own inspiration, among which excels the work of their musical director Delfín Ramos. The group Síncopa de Cuba has systematically toured Europe since the year 1997 and been to countries like Spain, Italy, Luxemburg, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Turkey, Austria and Belgium. This proves the acceptance and quality of the group. The triumph of the singer Odamis Cabello in the regional festival of CUBADISCO 2005 and her selection among the best female singers of the country in the international event of that year confirm this.
